Pros & Cons
Small team so wide scope and variety of tasks to engage with and learn.
Friendly culture that encourages learning. Coworkers are always happy to help with questions.
Stocked pantry, two-month training in Hong Kong with flights and accommodation covered.
Great location and facilities. Well looked after within the office with stocked pantry, good PC setup. No dress code.
Fairly clear timeline on promotions, and what is expected to be promoted.
Workload can get a bit heavy especially for juniors as we lack the necessary skills to complete tasks in time.
Definitely gets a bit intense sometimes, but that's part in parcel of a job in this industry.
Need to have basic knowledge/interest in the financial markets.
Across teams it may pose a bit of a challenge to reach a conclusive agreement on decisions, a bit of back and forth.
Not aware of any sustainability efforts.

I have now progressed to a Software Developer and I’m more involved in larger initiatives within the Company and have been given bigger opportunities to contribute.
The company is super fun, everyone has a good time while getting the job done. Pretty flat hierarchy - you have your assigned managers and leads but you can chat to anyone from top to bottom.
The excellent supervision and guidance from senior developers and the broader team have given me the ability to take on more ownership of my work and increase my involvement in projects.
For trainee traders, you start with a 3 month training program. The training program is extremely well tailored, however, there is a large volume of material to learn and apply in practice.
