I’d heard great things about NAB through school and university friends who already worked here, and I was drawn to the longer rotations – when I applied, there were 2 x rotations for about 8 months each.
I did a summer internship with the company, which gave me an opportunity to learn more about Qantas and discover how fascinating the airline industry is.
When I started I had no idea, career-wise, what I wanted to do. Now I have a better idea, at least to start. I also know where I need to improve and expand my range of skills.
For me to do my job well, I need input from people in a vast array of professions, such as engineers, project managers and salespeople. I never knew that it would be possible to learn so much in such a short period of time.
I never let a chance pass me by to learn, whether that is as a student, or as a trainer, and am always experimenting by building new assessments and labs for our students to tackle.
