Surina Sohal

In my team’s workflow meetings we discuss all the work we had complete the previous week and all the work we need to get done this week.

7.00 AM

I wake up from my alarm and spend about 10 minutes in bed on my phone waking up. I then get up and play with my dog for about another 10 minutes then make myself some breakfast, pack my lunch and get ready for work.

7.40 AM

I drive to the train station and get the train to work. I get off the train at Perth Station then walk 10 minutes to the office.

8.40 AM

I arrive at work and have a quick chat to everyone on my team. Even though we have a hot desk system, my team sit in the same area every day. I sit down and check my emails and teams messages, just catching up with my correspondence before I start the day.

Office

9.00 AM

At 9 am I go up to level 8, normally with a friend from KPMG and make myself a coffee. I take about 10 minutes to catch up with my friend before going back to my desk.

9.30 AM

Team workflow meeting. In my team’s workflow meetings we discuss all the work we had complete the previous week and all the work we need to get done this week. We also mention what days we are working in the office and what days we work form home and any leave or out of office we have coming up.

10.30 AM

After the workflow meeting I complete all the immediate tasks that are required, such as following up with clients and send urgent emails, or get urgent documents out for review. This normally takes me until Lunch time.

12.00 PM
Lunch time! I normally either go up to the kitchen or somewhere in the city depending on if I need to buy lunch and/ or if I am having lunch with a friend from KPMG or someone not from the office.

12.45 PM

I am back in the office and the rest of the day I do the jobs that are most urgent that day. Most days I have a client meeting in the afternoon or catch-up meetings for tasks I am on.

3.00 PM

I like to take a coffee break in the afternoon when I start to feel tired, to get a boost to finish work and a boost for when I gym after work.

5.00 PM

I log off for the day and head to the gym. I find it easiest to exercise if I don’t go home before, so I have no excuse not to exercise.

7.30 PM

I normally have dinner around 7.30, either with my friends or family depending on my plans. After dinner I normally go home and rewind before going to bed.

10.30 PM

I go to bed.
