Do work that matters
- You’ll be part of a broad team that leverages AI, data science, modelling, analytics, experimentation, behavioural science and technology to drive intelligent and ethical decisions, solutions and approaches for our customers, business and communities
- You’ll use data to build and enhance quantitative and predictive models to support insights, or use our leading technology to extract incredible data and influence the direction of the business
- Over the course of the program, you’ll enhance your technical capability using analytical tools such as R, SQL, SAS and Teradata, alongside vast datasets to develop and deliver actionable insights

Technology – Data Science (Sydney, Melbourne & Adelaide)
Our 12 to 18-month Data Science Program offers three rotations. You can gain exposure in Decision and Behavioural Science, Quantitative & Predictive Modelling, Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Machine Learning (ML), Data Engineering, and more.
Our 8-week structured onboarding program combines a foundational bootcamp, workshops and a modelling project to help set you up for a successful start.
We’re the frontline in the AI revolution. You’ll lead the way and support in driving innovative, data-led solutions and approaches.
After the program you can land a role at CommBank as a Data Scientist, Insights Analytics Analyst, or Data Engineer.

Client meetings, speaking with the frontline team regarding client files, administrative work
It will vary depending upon what department/business unit you are in. However in my circumstance I am an Graduate/Analyst; my daily task involve morning emails, attending to applications and strategy papers, lots of meetings, some longer one rife with information or short ones to provide updates. Then after a lunch with the team it is back into credit writing. Then finishing off the day with emails. There is always time for a coffee run with the team and some good quality banter.
My role involves balancing business and customer needs in innovative and strategic ways. Day to day, I work on projects that involve uplifting certain aspects of the CBA App. I also work towards my graduate development goals to ensure I make the most out of this experience.

With CBA being such a large organization, it can sometimes be difficult to navigate the ecosystem and find the right person who can help.
