Your role

Australian Army training is world renowned. We nurture and develop leaders and managers, technicians, tradespeople, medics, pilots, support staff and of course, skilled and resourceful soldiers and officers.
Therefore we have a constant need for the design and development of training programs, along with their implementation, monitoring and assessment. These programs are as diverse as the roles available in the Army.
Your exact duties will depend on your qualities, qualifications and experience. The opportunities on offer include:

  • the training and mentoring of program developers,
  • contributing to training strategy,
  • designing technology-based learning materials,
  • managing distance learning,
  • monitoring and assessing training activities,
  • administering accreditation programs,
  • training staff cadets in communication skills, and
  • teaching literacy and numeracy.

Full training will be provided to help you contextualise your knowledge and experience to the Army environment. As an Army Officer you will also gain valuable managerial and leadership skills.

Salary

  • Fully-paid training
  • Once trained, starting package approx. $77,838 p.a. plus superannuation (salaries correct as of 01/08/2019)

  • Posting to any of the many Army units across Australia

Entry Requirements

  • Australian Citizen
  • Aged 17 to 56
  • A recognised degree and relevant teaching experience, and/or eligible for registration as a teacher in a State or Territory of Australia

Experience in technology based training and education, distance education and or training, and training development, is desirable.

Medical and fitness guidelines also apply.
